Henco is co-founder and Managing Director at Dryland Event Management, a world leading event management company who owns and manages various International sporting events within the trail running and mountain biking disciplines.

He is a founding member, director and chairman of the Klein Karoo Fund and he is a director and shareholder of the Queens Hotel, a recent acquisition to KKF’s portfolio.

He is a director and shareholder of Dryland Ride (Pty) Ltd, an adventure tourism outfit providing exclusive mountain bike tours and to the national and international adventure tourist visiting Southern Africa.

Hein is a founding member of the Klein Karoo Fund and since 1994 he is involved with his successful family business, the Saag Jonker Group where he holds among others the position of Group Financial Director. The group is primarily involved in commercial ostrich farming as well as the manufacture and export of ostrich related products.

His extensive management experience is implemented in the group’s financial management and planning as well as all administrative, personnel and labour issues. He also serves as the managing director of one of the farming subsidiaries.

He has vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of financial management; budgets; financial and stock control systems; group structures; secretarial issues at company level; tax planning; cash flow management; financial reporting; export; forex trade as well as contractual and legal functions.

He matriculated in 1987 from Oudtshoorn High School where after he furthered his tertiary education at the University of Stellenbosch. He completed his degree in 1994 through the University of South Africa and went on to complete his articles at Greenwoods, a chartered accounting firm in Cape Town.

Hein is married to Liesl and they have 3 sons and a daughter – they reside on their family farm, Greylands, just outside of Oudtshoorn.

De Villiers is a founding member of the Klein Karoo Fund and the managing director of De Villiers Neethling and Partners, a quantity surveying company. He serves as a director on several property investment companies and he is also personally involved in various property developments in the Garden Route and Karoo areas.

The last 25 years he has been involved with various multi-million rand projects as a consultant and often as the developer on projects like Klapperbosrant, Bergsig and Bergsig Villas, the Queen’s Square development, Oudtshoorn Retirement Village and Millennium Park.

He currently serves as managing director of the Queens Riverside Mall, director and project manager of Crimson Sunrise Properties, the owners of the Queens Hotel and adjacent commercial complex. He is also director and project manager of the Caves Retirement Village development.

De Villiers acts as consultant to the Klein Karoo Fund and related companies. His expertise includes feasibility studies, quantity surveying, project management, investment analytics and strategy and valuations.

Over the last 30 years Alie has been involved with large Civil Engineering projects in the Western Cape of which the last 15 years was spent as developer of various prestige projects.

Alie is currently the managing director of the Caves Retirement development where he oversees the operations as well as Chairman of the Trustee Board.

He is the managing director of Pretzavest 57 (Pty) Ltd, the company that owns the Queen’s Hotel business where he is responsible for the daily operations.

Christelle was born and grew up in the Langkloof, a deciduous fruit producing area near the Eastern Cape, and she later matriculated from the Langenhoven Hoër Handelskool in Oudtshoorn.

She has more than 30 years’ experience in office administration, accounting and management with firms like Van Zyl Broers, a leading clothing retailer, Trust Bank, and Johnson’s Brickworks.

In October 2006 she joined the Klein Karoo Fund as office manager and accountant. Christelle manages the group’s daily operations as well as that of the subsidiary and affiliate companies where she oversees among other customer liaison, human resources and in-house accounting.

She is an integral part of the fund’s management team and her strengths include a strong work ethic, attention to detail, dedication and loyalty.

She is married to James and has a daughter, a son and a granddaughter.

Karin was born in Caledon and grew up in Despatch in the Eastern Cape where she matriculated in 1989. She started her professional career as an audit clerk at the Department of Provincial Administration. In 2003 her family relocated to Oudtshoorn.

In 2014 she joined the Klein Karoo Fund as an administrative officer where she assists the office manager with the daily accounting and operational tasks.

Karin’s positive nature, loyalty and dedication make her a valuable asset to the group’s administrative team.

She is married to Raymond and they have two daughters.
