Queen’s Hotel

Four star colonial elegance – modern convenience.

Queen’s Hotel

The purchase in 2013 of this historic third oldest hotel in South Africa marked the first entry of the Klein Karoo Fund into the tourism sector of the industry. The model here is simple, the buildings were purchased as the primary source of investment, but the commitment was also made to take over the complete operational side of matters. This includes the running concerns of the hotel, Colony Restaurant as well as Café Brule.

Klein karoo Fund’s executive director, Alie Killian has taken the reigns of the operational setup and De Villiers Neethling the management of the commercial rental side which include office and retail space. The fund is a 22% shareholder in this investment with the balance being held by private individuals.

The Queen’s Hotel is a 40 room boutique style establishment situated on the main route between the Garden Route and the Cango Caves and Swartberg pass.
